Isk Kapısı
Isk Kapisi, is an instrument workshop and an arthouse that lives and maintains the music, crafts, and life culture of Anatolia in peace and harmony.
Moreover, it is a communal life model where volunteers coming from different parts of the world exchange their music, natural life, and culture.
The community founded under the guidance of Master Isik in Fethiye, Turkey, in 2006, continues its local and global projects through concerts and workshops
Master Isik, shares ancient teachings on playing and producing saz, that he acquired over 40 years, with his apprentices and illuminates them on the path of being a “good person”.

Our repertoire consist of pieces that we have developed over the years and traditional works that we have arranged.
We synthesize traditional and modern music with our own instruments and carry the torch of Anatolian culture.
In addition, we also include areas such as dance, stage decor, sound recording, video and photo shooting.
workshop
We share our experiences on making “traditional carved saz” which has passed down from generation to generation through master-apprentice relationship, since ancient time.
During the long term workshops, a participant involves in all stages of production of their own saz- journey from block of wood to a work of art-, and completes under the guidance of the Master and undermasters.
We believe that the best way of learning takes place with love and we are developing the playing methods by practicing together.
